The No. 2 Badgers trailed No. 1 USC with 12 minutes left in the fourth quarter, 42-14, before launching a furious 23-0 run against the Trojans. Tight end, and future UW Director of Athletics, Pat Richter caught the final touchdown of the contest from Ron Vander Kelen with 79 seconds left to set the final margin, 42-37.
